Family Orientation
The Office of New Student & Family Programs offers a family orientation program during all transfer and freshmen student orientations. The family program is run concurrently with, but separate from, the student schedule. During the various presentations and programs, family members will be involved in learning more about all areas of their student’s college experience. Spending this time with us provides family members with a great opportunity to ask questions and become more familiar with their student’s surroundings. Our program for family members is designed to be beneficial and informative, and we encourage all attendees to be present for the planned presentations and orientation events. Family members will receive a detailed schedule upon arrival. We are very excited about this year’s family orientation program!
Family Connection (www.family.fsu.edu): In addition to attending to orientation, we encouraging families to connect with Family Connection. Learn about opportunities for family members to be engaged & informed about their student's Seminole journey. Here are just a few examples of the presentations you will be able to attend when you are a participant in family orientation:

Students can pre-register up to three family members for orientation by using the online registration form. We ask that each family member be at least 18-years of age. The cost of the family orientation program is per person. Two-day programs will also include a mandatory meal plan for all participants (three all-you-care-to-eat meals). Although we encourage pre-registration, family members will be able to register for the orientation program on-site if the need arises. Please contact the Office of New Student & Family Programs if you have any questions.
We look forward to seeing you at orientation!
